Installation of a computer mouse from beginning?
. Old mouse does not work and keyboard is not responding. OS – XPVom going to start on a computer screen where it says to me, click on computer owner. Cannot do. Mouse and keyboard do not respond, even after repeated restarts.

is it a wirless mouse and keyboard. If they are that might be your problem. To fix that problem you might have to find an old mouse and keyboard that plugs in not a usb connect. One thing you might be able to use is a usb to serial keyboard connect.
