On my DreamHost account, it says I am a free domain, I would still have to pay for extra charges?
Registered under the domain section I already have a domain I registered, but I need a different domain for school purposes and training. He says I have a charge on this account. If I register a different domain I have to pay more? If you can help me that would be awesome!
From DH’s wiki:
“you just need to login to your WebPanel and go to the Registrations page if the renewal prices are $0.00 this means that you have a free registration credit available. So if it shows you $9.95 for a renewal then this means that you have either already used up your free registration credit or have not yet received it.”
If you have such a credit, you can use it for the renewal *or* for a new registration.
I’ve used up mine for the year. (Then again, I have four domains at DH; I’ve had an account there for eight years.)
