FileZilla FTP Server Tutorial Part 2
This is a tutorial on how to set up FileZilla FTP server. It shows you how to port forward and what ports to forward, how to set up encryption (SSL/TSL), and how to set up anonymous access. Sorry for any mistakes I made; I had to narrate it while looking at an extremely down-sized version of it so it was kind of hard, and I didn’t have the patience to start over and use some other program to narrate it with. If you want my wallpaper I archived all of my wallpapers, here’s the download link: www. filefront. com Please comment about any critisim or questions! I’ll respond as fast as I can.

ok i fix it now, thanks very much! i have enabled the custom port range in Filezilla, i have forwarded through the windows firewall, but not through the router. in router i have forwarded only the 21 and 990 port. as soon as i forwarded that port range through the router, it worked. thank you very much for your help! bye!

DUDE I GOT IT… yeah so…. its my bad… hehehe, but i learned from it so yeah… well it had to do with the custom ports. on my linksys @ home, I was not seeing there are 2 fields for the port forwarding… I was doing it under single port range and there was an external and internal port.(single port forward). then i thought ooooohhhhh. so I put it on the PORT RANGE! all my problems have been solved… THANK YOU!!!

Hey thanks…been tinkering with setting up an FTP server years and could never get it. But combining my previous failures, more research and experimentation- along with this video I finally got it (watching several times). To access the server over the internet I had to get a host name through Dyn DNS (its free) because I have a dynamic IP. I like how you setup the anonymous folder – that is really handy to have. And I’m glad I setup the security certificate because that’s important to have.

@boosuff I’m glad to hear my video could be of use!
Incase you haven’t found it yourself, there should be DDNS section on your router config which makes it so every time you restart it it automatically updates the domain you got from Dyn DNS to whatever your IP is, so you never have to update it manually.

Thanks for this, works great! I’d been trying to follow on-line guides that missed out a ton of info and never got it working, running great now though.
