How Joomla (Content Management System) on a server install Wamp
Part 1 (Installing WAMP and creating a database)
1st To WampServer. com and click on Download the latest version of WAMP. This can lead to SourceForge. net and you will be asked “to run or save the file?” Click Save the file. This process takes about 20 minutes.
2nd If the download is complete click on Run and you will be asked “Are you sure that you run this software?” And click again on “Run”. You will then set up “Welcome to the WampServer” and click Next. Click “I accept the agreement and click Next.
3rd You will see “up WampServer is installed in the following folder c: wamp” and click “Continue” set. The next question to be displayed, additional icons? (A) Create a Quick Launch icon (b) Build from a desktop icon and just tick both boxes and click Next.
4th The next question, which appears ready to install? ” And just click to install. You will be asked if you have Firefox installed on your computer, that we recognize Firefox on your computer you want to use it as the default browser with WAMP server? and click Yes if this is what you want.
5th The next question that appears is PHP mail parameters? (A) SMTP localhost (b) E-mail is your e-mail address, be @ localhost ie. com and then click Finish and installed on your WAMP server.
6th To install Joomla on your WAMP server we must now create a database in your phpMyAdmin WAMP server. They do this by clicking on the small left wamp icon on your desktop and click on the phpMyAdmin panel. The steps in creating a database involved here are as follows: (1) Click on privilege (2) Click on Add New User and fill in your username, each user name, host is localhost, and will forget you will create (3) Global privalages you could take on all and leave. The final step involves creating the database itself and simply click on the Home icon in your phpMyAdmin panel and you’ll see, you create a database. Specify a name for your new database and click on “Create” and you’re done.
Part 2 (installation of Joomla on your WAMP server)
1st Download the latest version of Joomla zip to Joomla. org
2nd Create a new folder called joomla in the WWW folder on your WAMP server (the www folder on your WAMP server, where all of your new project folder and files must be submitted).
3rd Extract all the files from the downloaded zip file joomla and add them to the newly created Joomla folder inside the www wamp folder or directory (You do this by browsing and finding the correct folder).
4th Edit the configuaration. php-dist file in the Joomla file extracted (This file is only through the opening of the Joomla folder inside the www wamp folder view) and delete everything in that file and rename the configuration. php
5th Left click on your WAMP icon and click on the localhost panel. Within the Projects section, you will see your Joomla folder and is supported by a click on this it comes to the Joomla installation.
6th Joomla-installation steps (a) Select the language, click on English and then click Next to review (b) Pre-Installation can be as it is and click Next (c) license the next click (d) Database configuration (this is the same as the configuration of your database in the phpMyAdmin panel in wamp see step 6 above), for example, my sql, hostname = localhost, user name = what you password created = what you created, database name = what you created and then click on next (e) FTP configuration can, as it is and click Next. (F) Main configuration site, name: a name that you want to confirm a — e-mail and password: Use the e-mail that you used to install the WAMP server and create an admin password to access your Joomla control panel. (G) Load sample data, tick install sample data and click Next. You have now successfully completed the installation.
7th The last step is to delete the entire contents of the Joomla installtion folder. Just on the World Wide Web directory or folder and open the Joomla folder to navigate and delete your installation folder. Thats it, you’re done.
