How can I keep ink jet computer ink from smearing on slightly glossy paper?
Question : How can I keep ink jet computer ink from smearing on slightly glossy paper?
I printed some business cards yesterday on slightly glossy paper with my ink jet printer, and to my dismay, 24 hours later, the ink still is smearing if I rub it with my finger. Is there any chance that it will eventually dry? Or is this a lost cause? Is there anything I can do to force the ink to dry/prevent it from smearing? Thanks!

You are going to have to set it in the printing preferences that the paper isn’t Automatic, you have to set it yourself.
Check to see if your printer program has an option to allow a slower output so that the ink has a chance to dry. See if it also allows you to to set the type of paper you are using, such as Plain, Photo, Glossy, Matte, Transfer etc. Also check to see if a waterproof ink is available. I know for a fact that Lexmark does since I have used it in the past. Other than that you may just have to let them dry awhile, but 24 hours should be morrrrre than enough.
Good luck,
