How do I repair a damaged hard drive?
Question : How do I repair a damaged hard drive?
So my hard drive on my hp laptop is having a problem. The computer always crashes when defragmenting the hard disk, or using the startup chkdsk “check disk” to repair bad sectors.
From the hard drive diagnosis it says that the results are Fail #1-07. I was wondering if anyone would help me fix it or is there any kind of service that I can use to repair this hard drive.

Hi Tony F,
You can’t repair a failed hard drive. Its more with it overall to just purchase a new one. You can back up all of your files with an IDE/SATA to USB adapter like this one:

You just access the hard drive for the files and nothing else. If this doesn’t work then its past saving.
Good luck and I hope I helped!
It very much impossible to fix you hard drive because that had happen to me the same way so I try everything to get it fix but everything fail… I even try going to the retail store and they told me that you have to buy a new hard drive and if I were you I would back up the programs that you have on the computer next time.
sorry if this doesn’t help…
