Im looking into the Epson 4880. Has anyone used it or is using it?

We have one at the college photo lab. It is VERY expensive to maintain (Epson ink and roll paper). Someone did a cost per print (11×17 inch) and I decided to have all my prints done at a photo lab … less expensive and you don’t have to spend the whole day printing up 30 or so quality prints .. just the test prints took 5 to 10 minutes to print. Testing, adjusting in photoshop and doing a final print of each can become quite boring.

The Epson looks really good, but also consider a Canon Pixma. I would suggest going to a Circuit City and asking a representative. If you are in NYC, I would suggest the one at 521 5th Avenue, they have excellent customer service and can provide side by side digital comparison on their portable tablet pc’s.
