Hi Niel,
In 2010, definitely the online fax for reliability. Where the offline fax comes in handy is when you need to get a signature over to somebody ASAP. You don’t want to waste time scanning and attaching to emails.
But as far as making sure that a fax gets delivered, trying until it is received and giving you a detailed report of the send from anywhere there is internet…the online fax is the way to go.

Fax over IP is definitely more reliable than a regular fax machine.
It works as a regular email system so I believe it is much more efficient.
but you need to get a good fax to email service provider, there are more and more numerous so it is tough to choose.
