What is good upgrades to make my computer better for gaming?

Question : What is good upgrades to make my computer better for gaming?
Right now i have a basic computer with 1g Ram and a 5200fx video card. I lag alot in Warcraft. i would like to stop most the lagg what should i do to upgrade my computer

add another 1gb of ram, buy ati/amd hd3850 agp graphics card. that will probably demand a new power supply. i’m assuming u are running pentium 4….overclock it to hell and back (do a pin mod and whatever else is available)

Assuming the your CPU is fairly current, gaming lag is generally noticed when your computer resources are maxed out (especially in a game like WoW). As long as you have a decent internet connection, the most bang for your dollar will be upgrading your video card. Next you should upgrade your ram to 2gb since its so cheap now (basically free with coupons).

You can also change some of your windows OS setting so that the OS is not taking up too much of your resources. Right Click on your my computer – left click on properties – click the advanced tab – choose settings under Performance and choose the option that says “adjust for best performance”. This will help with not just gaming but all around system performance.
