How do you backup computer files?

I backup files and information (text documents) specially small ones into a folder created by me. I compress into several zip files (.zip) regularly. I use Backup Assistant, (C) Joel Graffman, version 2.1. I have to use it with care, since I must not delete any files from the hard drives, because if I do so, in subsecuent backups with this software the zip files overwrites the entries, deleting them also form the zip file… Every once in a while I copy those zip files to a CD-RW. And also, with some important and small files, I just email them to my Yahoo email which works like a virtual memmory or so… for hundreds of files to be stored in the yahoo email service. You can also backup documents with your regular Microsoft backup (found in properties — Tools of your hard disks) which is compatible with versions of modern Windows Operating Systems.

I found out aditional help for you: Try to backup information ONLY at, lets say, 12:00 M and try to recheck that you backed up every thing you needed ONLY at 9:00 PM. This is for reasons of organization. Keep a special text file that you can name ‘List to backup.txt’ containing a list of files and zip files that you normally backup. You can mark with ‘//’ all files that you already backed up. And unmark them, in this list, if they have changed and need to be backed up again. Good luck.
