start at 7:58 add go to lunch 11:57 minus come back from lunch plus 11:42 leave work 7:04 minus. That’s kinda how we did it. But can’t remember

Not sure but I think this is what you are looking for. Sorry if it’s not.
Hours worked times rate of pay.
Just remember that with mintues 60 is 100%
so lets say Tom worked from 8AM till 5:30PM this pay period and Tom makes 11.25 per hour.
8AM – 5:30PM is 9 and a half hours. Remember that since 60 is the higest amount of mintunes in an hour it is 100% so 30 min is 50%.
9and a half hours become 9.5 hours. $ 11.25 X 9.5 hours = $ 106.875
15 min is .25
30 min is .5
45 min is .75
Add the minutes up and divide by 60. Then add the hours to the minutes divided by 60 to get the total hours.
Then you multiply 40 times the regular pay rate to get regular pay
To get overtime you subtract 40.0 from the total time worked and multiply the remainder by the overtime rate.
