I bought a laptop security lock with a combination on ebay. It arrived without instructions. How do I set it?
Question : I bought a laptop security lock with a combination on ebay. It arrived without instructions. How do I set it?
It is silver with 4 rotating dials with 0 to 9 on each. There is a button that can be pushed down when the dials are set to 0000, but it cannot be depressed when any of the dials are turned.

each brand will be different, check the (brand) name on the lock, Google that company and it is likely that they have instructions on their website.
personally, i would try holding down the button and then rotating the dials to the desired combo

I would contact that ebay seller and ask for instructions.
If that does not work then google it as the other comment suggests.
You can also call the company that makes those locks.
