If you’re talking about cost alone and only about text printing, inkjet ink is more expensive in the long run if you do a lot of printing. But once you’re talking color laser, the difference may not be that great since color lasers and their toner tend to be expensive and inkjet quality for photos is usually better. Inkjets cost more to run than laserjets… 10cents per page versus 2cents per page. Solid ink is about 1.5cents per page as advertised by Xerox.
