Is the computing power of the fastest computer in 2008 superior to the computing power of the human brain?
Question : Is the computing power of the fastest computer in 2008 superior to the computing power of the human brain?

I still believe no matter how fast the computer gets, the brain will be superior.

The human brain will always be superior because of it’s ability to reason and add a compassionate view to any situation.
The computer is only superior in the area of recall. Stored information is the only information that it can produce, however it will always consistantly recall that stored information and the brain will not.
The human brain, for a long while, will always out preform the computer. You’d have to do some google searching to get the sources. In just supporting life, the human brain is far out-processing, out-preforming any computer in existence. Furthermore, the brain is adaptable…. while we are making ai technology to mimic human behavior, it will be a long time, if ever, that a computer is able to adapt as well as a human brain.
However, computer’s do some things more quickly than most…. complex calculations, mathematical modeling, etc… its why we use them so damn much :P
