I never once did an ink cartridge refill without ending up with ink all over my hands. IMO its not worth it.

Kodak recently came out with a printer with fairly inexpensive ink (compared to other manufacturers). Just buy a new printer and do some research about the cost of the ink cartridges and how far they will go before you purchase.
