Question : What is the simplest way to convert digital photos to another format?
I need to upload a passport image on a site for id purposes (“know your customer”) in order to make a transaction. However the digital photo itself is much too large. How can I convert it to another form of under 1mb? I do not have a scanner which would have been the easiest I guess.

Simply go into any editing program and resize it to meet the criteria. It is very simple to do. Just keep the aspect ratio the same. For example most point and shoots use a 4:3 aspect ratio. This means that it is 4 units wide by 3 units high. So if your photo was 4000×3000 just change it to 2000×1500. This would cut the size in half. Then save it at 72 dpi and your all set.
