Question : My cable attachment fitting on my TV is damaged and will not accept the Coax cable. Can I replace it myself?
My Sony TV Coax cable hook up (receiver) on the back of the TV was damaged by someone inserting a foreign object in to it. Can I replace it my self or do I need to send it to a repair shop.

Most of the time it’s attached directly to the board, and it will have to be sodierd on. If you’re using a cable/satilite box. You can use video cable. (red/blue/yellow or green cable) Just run this from the cable box to the tv and change your input setting on your tv and this will work just as well , and save you some money.

it does need professionally repaired, but there are converters that will allow you to connect coax to the converter and come out with composite cables (red,white & yellow) to connect to your tv on a different input
