The best way to clean the cartridge is with a Qtip and rubbing Alcohol….make sure you wait a few mins to let it dry before trying to print or you will get a very blurry image..

Have I read that you have repaired printers for 5 years ? you should know all the trade secrets then ? I was trained by an HP Certified Technician 20 years ago, I have 20 years experience at this, have had 3 repair shops and was CEO of World Recycling Depot and I don’t charge anyone on Yahoo Answers even if they e mail me. If I was to charge my normal rate $ 65 to $ 85 per hour to answer questions no one would talk to me, I do this to help everyone, the rewards I get from people I have helped, is the e mail that says thank you for solving my problem, I’m just happy to help, I suggest to you is if you want to make money at this is to find a large reputable shop that does repairs or start your own shop, good luck

You do not specify which printer model it is. If it is a plotter printer the individual jets can be soaked in a cleaning solution available from Epson. If it used ink cartridges, just buy new ones and stop wasting time on cleaning. The orifices are so small that even cotton fibers could create more problems, like causing the ink to bleed out of the injector. On the long run, replace the whole cartridge and you have eliminated trouble.
