Question : Project Management Software A level Questions Help Please?
I do A Level IT and we’re learning about Project Management software and I’m pretty stuck with the last question we have to complete on this silly sheet! What sort of things CAN’T project management software do? This is only work we had to complete while our teacher was away for a lesson but I think it would still be quite useful to know :)

It can’t really account for things like the human factor, for example it will never account for political issues that prevent software from being adopted. It can’t account for an error in programming logic for example putting the entire project at risk. For example the error is not caught until testing, the logic error is discovered and the entire project is at risk now because the programmers have to go back to the drawing board.
I agree with the answer from cpqarray as a general good answer to what Project Management Software cannot do. It is however interesting to realize where Project Management Systems are heading nowadays. We are, for example, using VisionProject (http://www.visionprojecthq.com). I think this system started off being a Project Management System. However, we are using it also for as a Issue Tracking System, Help Desk, Document Management System, etc. It is incredible how much you can put into one system.
