Question : If I put my new digital camera’s memory card in the printer, how do I choose a particular picture?
I know next to nothing about digital cameras. If I put the memory card in the printer’s slot, how do i choose a particular picture? Same question if I put it in the computer’s slot. Please don’t tell me to read the manual. thanks
Pookie, thanks for the info. You misunderstand, it’s not that i don’t want to read the manual, i have. i just would like clarification on details not address particularly and thought others might have had some experiences to share. My printer is Lexmark x3650 all in one.

First of all, which printer do you have?

Usually these printers can print a thumb-nail (proofsheet) of your photos. This results in a few pages of little photos on the card.

My was old Canon printer, it’s a scanner, too. So that sheet, printed with a little check box next to each photo. I had to check off which photo(s) I wanted printed. Slapped it back on the glass plate, and it reads it back.

It depends entirely on the printer. And most can only do JPG files (which I assume your camera produces), not RAW format. Anyway, you said you did not want to read the manual.. the problem is if you make a mistake, the ink & photo papers that will be used will surely end up costing you much, much more than the time spent reading a few pages of the manual.
