What is the best antivirus and firewall software currently available?

Question : What is the best antivirus and firewall software currently available?
I am reformatting my system and want a new A/V firewall than what i had last. My previous one was Live OneCare, and before that i had Bitdefender 9. Help anybody?
Or are those two some of the best.

Antivirus: Avg free edition or avast home edition

BOTH ARE FREE

If u want antispyware programme download spybot search and destroy and ad aware

you can go for Kaspersky antivirus or zonealarm i would tell you to go for zone alarm wth its pro firewall i m using it it low on system resources and good.choice is on u

Spend the money and Get Norton Internet security. Worth it.
