Thats what i have been saying for years!
Problem with most laptops nowadays is that the airflow flows through the back of the computer, if the laptop is placed FLAT onto the table the air does not have any place to go so the hot air is locked into the computer.
That is why many complain about *Omg laptop’s sucks, overheating as hell* actually, its not really overheating at all, you are just being stupid.
Good video, opened eyes for many people. This works.

A brilliant implementation of an extremely popular technique. I have used cd cases, floppy disks. books, my most recent adventure had me using a pair of old printer stands from a dot-matrix printer ( though they were slanted and made it hard to type for very long, comfortably ).
I will definitely give this a go. You have a very useful brain. Don’t stop using it, just because you are an artist. :# -

Oh my goodness. I’ve been looking for a cheap easy way to get my Lappy to breath easy and this…This is so simple it’s genius.
I edit to and the machine LOVES to spew out all kinds of heat when we get into the nitty gritty effects and I am always afraid it may spontaneously combust. (Of course that was an exaggeration.)
I’m going to be making mine today. (With a board on the bottom because my Laptop is ALWAYS on my lap)
