Has anyone used a compatible ink cartridge for their inkjet printer?
Question : Has anyone used a compatible ink cartridge for their inkjet printer?
I found a site to buy ‘compatible’ ink cartridges for my printer.
They are much cheaper than the brand name ones and they say they work just as well as or better. Has anyone used them and if so would you recommend them?

Hi, I only ever use ‘compatible’ cartridges for my Canon printer. It is now about six years old and still printing well. Just make sure that you use reputable compatible cartridges rather than just the cheapest you can find.

I have been in the computer consulting business for over 20 years and using compatible cartridges for over ten years. They worked well for me and my customers until some time in 2007. That’s when Epson and other printer companies won the right to manufacture printers which won’t work with third-party cartridges. They went to great lengths to foil the compatible manufacturers. The number of complaints about cartridges not being recognized increased tremendously, particularly when purchased cheaply on ebay. A number of sellers offered “guarantees” which were worthless. So you have to be careful about who you buy from.
For years I have been getting Epson compatibles from http://ccs-digital.com They’re under $ 3, hold 66% more ink than the original and they work. - Comment Feed for this Post

My only advice — get them from a reputable retailer like Castle Ink that offers a no-questions-asked guarantee….
