Question : How do I share an internet connection between wireless laptop and desktop?
I know I can do it with the laptop and the xbox I have – just connect the network cable between them, do some network sharing settings, and I can connect the xbox to a wireless connection. Now, how do I do that between the wireless laptop and an offline desktop? Any ideas would be great. The laptop is running vista and the desktop is running XP SP3.
The purpose of doing this is to not buy anything because I am cheap.

You need to buy a Wireless Router. Go to bestbuy and buy one I reccomend a Netgear, these are the best and easiest NETGEAR routers:

Netgear WNR2000
or
Netgear WGR614

the Netgear WNR2000 is better and newer.
