And how do you clean it? And what will the paper look like when you print on it with an inkjet printer whose sponge needs cleaning urgently?

parking station, You can clean it but it will be very messy. See if you can remove it and run it under warm water, don’t do it in your best sink.
Waste ink pad or waste ink absorber.
Usually they require an engineer to change them and a rest code to re-set the waste ink counter. If the counter is not re-set there will come a time when then printer will refuse to print.
The reset codes are sometimes of the Internet but you still have to change the pad or ink will eventually leak everywhere and that is not a good alternative.
It is usually cheaper to buy a new printer than change the waste ink pad. It’s usually a death sentence of the printer once the services required message appears.
