right click on “my computer” then go to device manager, from there take a closer look to see if you have got a NIC.
If you have XP, you can goto Device Manager. Right Click on the My Computer icon on your desktop, then select Manage. Select Device Manager on the left hand pane. On the right hand pane, you should Network Adapters. Open it up by double-clicking on it. You should see your device if it has one.
