How can I tell which DSL cable cord to get for my wall outlet?
Question : How can I tell which DSL cable cord to get for my wall outlet?
I have tried the Cat5e R7J604 cord on the wall and on a DSL/Phone line splitter. Both cords I have are too big for the jack.

The Cat5 cable is not the right cable to plug into your phone line for DSL use. You need a plain old RJ11 telephone cable for that. The Cat5 cable is used to connect the DSL modem to your computer.

You will need an RJ11 type plug. The CAT5 plug is an RJ45 type.
you can get these at most stores that sell communication equipment.
Or you can flog one from a phone handset you don’t use.
There is no special wiring to these (as opposed to a cat5 crossover)

RJ11 is the cable connector that goes in… it is the same cable as your phone……
