Any suggestions for finding ink cartridges?

Question : Any suggestions for finding ink cartridges?
Okay, here’s a tough one. I have a home printer which uses the H.P. 45 black ink cartidge, and the H.P.78 color ink cartridge. What I am wondering is where to find DISCOUNT/cheap replacement ink cartridges, for this machine. The Hewlett-Packard units cost a “fortune”, and the lowest price I have found, so far, is from a company called “Office Corner”, a generic, with a 45 costing $ 17, and color costing $ 20 per cartidge. Any chance of lower prices, anywhere????

That is ridiculously cheap.

The nice thing about a 45 ans 78 is they do hold a lot of ink. Actually about 8 times more ink than most newer HP cartridges. So although the price may seem steep, a 45 should print abou 700 pages and a 78 should print about 600.

It is a really good value.

Have you thought of having them refilled? I used to do this – the price was much less. Look in the phone book in your area for someone who does this. You can buy kits to do it yourself. I never tried – told its very messy.
