Question : How can I get my cable modem to be more reliable ?
My cable modem works some days. I have 2 splitters on my incoming line before my cable modem. The cable company says it is the wiring in my house.

yes ya probly have old coax on ur house and you should have the cable company comeout and change it!!!!!! cause old coax will case signal loss and cause ur modem to to lose signal!!!! had the same thing happen to me and had them come out and replace the old coax and BAAMMMM no more p[roblem
Quicker solution, go to your local computer store and pick up a broadband drop amp, it is a two-way amp instead of one way. The motorola is great, about $ 49 bucks.
Also call your cable company and see what your signal level is at, if you go too high you will make it worse.
