Question : I rented a jumper, projector with lagre screen, lights, smoke and soround sound for my sons wwe ?
I asked him why he wasn’t worried. I asked him if he had insurance for his party rentals he smiled said” no don’t need it YOU HAVE HOME OWNERS INSURANCE IF SOMETHING GETS DAMAGED YOUR INSURANCE COVERS ME. THIS DOESN’T SOUND RIGHT!!! HOW CAN THIS BE? He owns this business.(would my insurance be responsible to pay for any damage) he was the only person to handle his equipment isnt he reuired to tell peaple this beforhand?

The equipment is on your property, so once he sets it up it is out of his control and is now in yours. If anything is damaged you will be responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement. Why does this not sound logical to you? I believe this is standard practices for all rental businesses. The business may have liability insurance but that is different.
