DO you know of a FREE SPYWARE scanner that can do a scan?
Question : DO you know of a FREE SPYWARE scanner that can do a scan?
A boot scan before the OS has loaded, avast! has a great virus scanner that boots before the OS loads, but i need a spyware one and avast! does not offer one, do you know of one, im trying to rid my computer of all spyware, Free would be prefered

spybot for sure!! (gave those answers a thumbs up) and also try Ad-aware too. I had that one and really liked it. I don’t think Spyware Doctor is free. In fact I think that’s the one my dad downloaded a free version of and couldn’t get it off his computer and had finally broke down and bought it because we couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it and all of it’s pestering messages. So beware of that one if you don’t intend to buy it!!

C-Net always has good free and low-cost (i.e., shareware) spyware and virus scanning programs rated and available. They are scanned for viruses by C-Net. You might find what you want there. Here is the url: http://www.download.com/2000-2001_4-0.html

Always check http://www.download.com – then search there and include free in your search – ad-aware is a good one too.
