Question : Laser Printer has Streaks ONLY for Automatic Document Feeder — Fixes?
PRINTER: Samsung SCX-4521FG Multifunction Laser Printer

The printer works great even after replacing the black toner. I’ve never experienced a problem with documents placed on the “document glass” nor the top automatic document feeder.

Only recently has placing documents in the automatic document reader for copying have i been seeing a single vertical streak down each copied page. To avoid the streak i have to manually copy via the document glass. The toner cartridge is fine as proven by the alternate copying method.

What can i do to resolve the streaking problem with the automatic document feeder? The streaking has not faded after several prints.

There is a strip of glass next to the main glass window. Make sure that is clean. Look for white out or something. If a spec is there. it will leave a streack because that is wher it scans from the document feeder. If cleaning doesn’t help your drum may be scratched.
