I really do not want to buy this stuff from Office Depot/Max, Sam’s Club or Walmart. There has to be a discount store out there somewhere.

Look in your yellow pages, there are actually niche stores out there that cater strictly to printers. Since they only sell consumables, their prices are almost always remarkable. Just do a 411 search with the keyword printer cartridges in your area. Call them up and get a price quote.
