I have a Compaq Laptop (windows XP) and a printer Hp PSC 500 which I was using with my old computer?
Question : I have a Compaq Laptop (windows XP) and a printer Hp PSC 500 which I was using with my old computer?
(which is Windows 2000) Can same printer be used for my Compaq laptop which is XP? Any help appreciated.

Yes you can use the same printer with Xp. All you need to do is connect the printer with machine, if it doesn’t install the driver and ask you to install the driver manually. Then goto hp website and download and install printer drivers for xp. Good luck!
You should be able to. It is possible you may have to download new drivers off of HP’s website if you do not already have XP drivers for it. And if your connection does not match up you may have to buy an inexpensive adapter (IE like a parallel to USB adapter) at a store like Best Buy or Radio Shack.
