Question : how can you build your own windows laptop – please cite places for parts?
i know it is easy to find the parts to build your desktop, but I have not seen the parts for laptops (case, p/s, hd, memory, sys board)

That is because all laptop boards are built for specific manufacturers, so the cases have to be, and the monitors. I have a laptop with a burnt out board. Someone gave me the same model with a serial number about 10 away from it, and a cracked screen. I removed the good screen and went to fit it to the other machine, the board, screen and case are ALL different despite looking identical. Including a screen connection of 3 times the width and with an extra 10 connections.
