Q: Do I do school work in the summer? A: Yes. I am right now. I just started the full year in March so I haven’t finished yet (I didn’t work for a bunch of weeks at a time). You don’t have to do work in the summer though. It’s optional. Even if you finish at a normal time, you can still do the next years work in the summer and just never take breaks. Q: Have I ever finished a class in less than a year? A: I just started in March. I have finished a class in less than a week, it just depends on the class and how much work the individual works. With the cyber school I attend, I can for example work on Science all day for a week. Then the next week I can do English, next week Geometry. Or, I can do English, Geometry, and Science and space it out any way that I’d like. It’s possible to finish the school work really fast, depending on how much you work. Q: How was I able to convince my parents? A: At first when I told them, they said no way. I kept bringing it up, and finally convinced my mom. Convincing my dad was trickier. I made a list of all the positives and negatives about doing it. I honestly TRIED to come up with negatives, because switching schools is a big deal. Q: Am I able to stay in touch with friends? A: Right now, I’m at the stage in my life where friends aren’t that important. I don’t really talk to too many people from my school anymore, but that’s not where I’m at right now.
