Big monitors are good – the bigger the better:)
Seriously, in our IT department we are monitoring a number of systems and servers using software like HPOpenView, etc. The large screens are necessary so you don’t have to scroll to see the status of everything.
Last thing you want is a server to go slow and you not see it because it is off the screen.
