Question : Will a polaroid micro-SD 1GB memory card work in a HP Pavillion dv9233cl notebook pc?
My friend just got a HP Pavillion dv9233cl notebook pc. I know barely anything about it and her birthday is coming up. She wanted more memory for her laptop so I bought her a polaroid micro-SD memory card which also has an adapter (looks like a smaller card). Will it work in her laptop?

Nope. Memory for a laptop or normal computer is not the same as a memory card. The PC/Laptop memory fits inside the computer and helps it to run faster.
The MicroSD you bought can be used by her to store a few things on, but will not help her laptop run any faster.
If her laptop has the card slot on the side which it should have.
This card is not going to give her more memory.
These cards are for storage transfering of photos,files to camera’s,cellphones,pda’s etc.
What you want is Ram Memory which is in the computer.
Go online and Download the Manual to find out which type and amount it can be upgraded to,or call HP.
