What books do you recommend a computer?
I’m trying to develop a good general knowledge of computer hardware and software. I have some of the “Dummies” book series Read – PC for Dummies, PC Repair for Dummies – and I would explorer.Je a few suggestions for new topics as you think of the idea of a career in the IT point But I have no money for education at the moment. Personally, I don’t like the “for Dummies” series of books. Not being a dummy, I don’t find them useful as they’re overly simplistic.
I would say only buy a book when you’re ready to learn something specific. If you’re looking for general knowledge, get involved in forums that relate to what you want to learn. Wikipedia is great for providing high-level overviews of a wide variety of subjects as well.
I would also recommend defining what it is you want to do a little better. IT covers a wide ranger of careers and the more you can narrow it down the better an idea you’ll have about what to study.

You can learn a lot from books like “the complete PC upgrade & Maintenance Guide” by Mark Minasi. Get the latest edition it covers a LOT of stuff not just plugging in boards but how things work and what you need to know before you plug it in!
