How can I get a remote control (like VNC) on the Internet?
I connected a PC at home, still with the Internet via a wireless router. When I work, I want this PC controller – I installed VNC (and the monitoring of connections), I include the port forwarding on my router to 5900 (with VNC I think) J ‘I have my Internet IP address (from www.whatismyip.com) but the work – not to ping this address (though if the other connected to a PC, but with the Internet via the same ISP for my PC I can ping the house?), where start I solve this problem? the process that you would even use it locally if you have firewall enabled, it should allow some ports and configure NAT.Je would be happy to see you in the Remote Help if you are interested in a Remote Assistance, not to contact me:)
VNC
Yeah, you need to control the wireless router and forward the port to your PC’s IP adress (it’s port 5900 for VNC). Then from your office you can enter the real world IP and it will allow you to see your PC.
If you can’t ping the address, your work network may be blocking it, see if you can ping anything else like http://www.yahoo.com. Also be aware that the real world IP may change unless you specifically bought a static address.
