No, it isn’t. The D drive is usually the drive partitioned off for your system files. Typically, it is locked and these files are hidden. You have to be EXTREMELY careful when using this section as not to delete files accidentally that the system needs.

What drive is the d drive. A cdrom? And you do not store hardware. Hardware is a disk drive or a cpu. I you have two disk drives and one is full it is normal for your computer to store files-information or software- on that free drive. Do you have a backup drive or a recovery drive?

No, you’re computer should be storing almost all files on the C drive. The D drive is used for your recovery files should all else fail.
