MS Exchange Server 2003 extensively supports emailing, managing calendar entries, contacts, tasks, etc. Moreover, it also allows user to access it through mobile and web-based browsers.

However, this amazing tool has not been able to escape the bugs and problems arise due to exceeding file size limit of 16 GB. Entire Server information is accumulated in EDB file, which acquires the possibility of corruption, resulting into disallowing further mounting of Server database. Consequently, the email client fails to start the next time user tries to start it. Another outcome of this fault is the inaccessibility of emails and other related items due to EDB file corruption, which can further lead to loss of significant data. There could be various reasons for such scenarios. Database header corruption, hardware issues, abruptly exiting the Exchange Server, etc. could be few of the many reasons for the corruption of EDB file. However, there are many solutions as well, which can provide access to the emails and other required items. Few of them are listed below:

1.Upgrade the Exchange Server 2003 Service PackĀ  By this method, you can immediately get the increased database size limit of 18 GB.

2.The other option is to increase the database size by 1 GB temporarily, in case you have the administrative rights. Later you can remover unimportant mails and contents from the database. Further, you must defragment the database to bring it back to the stipulated size limit of the size of the database.

3.Using Recovery Storage Group feature mount the database and then try to extract the EDB from the mailboxes using the Microsoft Exchange Merge Wizard (Exmerge.exe) utility. Although, above-mentioned methods are viable and work very efficiently to provide the accessibility to the emails and further mounting, but requires some time to perform these task. Besides, these methods may not fetch you data lost due to EDB file corruption. If you are unable to address the situation by performing above-mentioned methods, you can opt for third party Kernel for Exchange recovery tool.

These tools are specially designed to recover emails and other data that become inaccessible due to any reason including fault like exceeded the set database file size limit. These professionally built tools perform as EDB repair software that easily resolves the Exchange Server 2003 inaccessibility. Can I add Standerd Windows 2003 Servers to a network running Windows SBS 2003?

Question : Can I add Standerd Windows 2003 Servers to a network running Windows SBS 2003?
I run a network with about 32 users on it. Its has 3 DCs and a Exchange server all runing windows server 2000. DC #1 use to share a Satellite internet connection. All it does now is user authentacation, store profiles, and DNS. It is also is a GC and master DC, The internet is shared now with a Linksys RV082 Dual Wan Router and has two 1.5 DSL lines hooked up to it. DC #2 Authencates users, DNS, DHCP, MSSQL (accounting DB) and Fileserver. It too is a GC. DC #3 authencates users and is a Terminal Server to share applications. It too is a GC. The Exchange Server handles email, OWA, and a web timecard program that interfaces with MSSQL. So I have a copy of SBS Perm 2003 SP1 that was bought before I took over the network. I have a new server that i installed SBS 2k3 on. The current email server is have issues and I would like to dump it. The other DCs are running windows 2000 server and I would like to start the path to upgrade them to 2003. What are the restrictions for SBS 2003.

I’m staging about 30 various dell servers, I need to collect any and all drivers installed on them and make them available off line for disaster recovery. Does not have to be freeware, I’ll pay for the best available. pretty much have all versions (32 and 64) of all Windows Server OS here that may need it.
