I tried using bluezone but they are pretty much telnet only.
I am looking at trying to emulate a direct serial connection or somehow make like a virtual telnet host on my computer and basically bridge serial to telnet to emulator.
I’m looking for a good emulator that exposes its classes and methods, we’re trying to script data entry so that our OLD system can finally talk to our new systems via batch updates.

Question : AutoCAD 2005 Plotter Question?
I’m having some trouble when I try to plot big sheets (18″x24″ all the way up to 36″x48″)
When I select that sheet size, CAD scales my drawing to mm instead of inches! I can’t seem to find a way to keep the scale in imperial format! If I try printing it as is I’ll get this tiny drawing on my huge sheet of paper!
Does anyone know how to change it so that it doesn’t scale my drawings to metric and I keep my imperial settings? (nothing changes when I print on 8″x11″ or 11″x17″ size paper)

If you go to ‘page setup manager’, there is a section that is titled “plot scale” where you have the option (drop-down menu) of inches or mm….. it says __ “inches / mm” = __ drawing units
my only guess is that for some reason this is switching when you switch paper size

Question : Uninterruptible power supply question?
Hi, Im looking for a Uninterruptible power supply, but I dont understand the watts part that each of them have. Some say 300, 500, or 1000 ect. I dont want to buy one that wont work with the desktop. Any recommendations and info you could give me? I heard something also about if you use more than the watts it says it will overload or something like that.

The numbers normally correspond to the length of ‘uptime’, any UPS will work, the more expensive ones with have direct link to the PC so where theres a power failure, it will shutdown Windows for you to prevent data lost.

Question : HP Laserjet Printer (toner) question?
At work I have an HP Laserjet 1022 that uses toner. It seems like the toner needs to be replaced almost monthly. Is this a common thing? I do print a lot off of this printer–probably 300-500 pages a week.
I am getting the third degree at work about the amount of toner that “I” am using…I guess they think I’m stealing it! LOL
I just wanted someone to see if they can help me find information about this printer and the amount of toner it needs or how much one toner should last.
Best answer should direct me to a site about this printer. EASY TEN POINTS, PEOPLE!!!!

Well, here’s HP’s site for that printer.
The printer’s duty cycle is rated at 500-2000 pages a month which seems about what you’re doing. 2000 pages per toner cartridge seems about right (12A gets around 2000 pages) unless you’re printing “full” pages and a lot of dark areas. You can expect a little less in that case.
Try looking for the darkness adjustment and lighten it up a touch.
