If you did not have the breaks and they are writing in that you did they cant. If you have filled your timesheet out correctly then it is illegal for them to change it. A timesheet is a legal document

Every 15 minutes is a 1/4 of an hour, so 15 min = 0.25 hr
Therefore, 6:45am to 6:45pm would be 12 hours
and, 6:45pm to 7:00pm would be 15 min
So, enter on your timesheet: 12.25 hrs.

I am working work study at my school and I need a way of keeping up with hours to may sure i do not go over them. i would like a timesheet that will show what hours i worked for that specific day and to give me the total hours at the end of the week. i don’ t know how to input formulas or anything so if you could be detailed in your instructions i would really appreciate it. Also, i would like to input the timespan i worked (i.e. 12:30pm- 5:00pm) in one slot so the hours will automatically add themselves for the day and week. please help me, i hope i am not confusing anyone. thank you!

In Excel….go to the help menu and you will able to go online and find templates. It is much easier than trying to create them on your own!!!

I work for an office of 24 people as a Project Manager Assistant. We have ben busy the last few weeks and apparently forgot to submitt my timesheet for one week. It turns out, the office manager deliberately excluded it from my paycheck because she was “not having a good day and didn’t feel like reminding anyone”. I know it is my responsibility to submit my timesheets on time ( since I get paid hourly) but a reminder wouldn’t have been bad either. Can she really do that? Other employees were “busted” as well. Funny thing is that when I approached her about this, she was playing solitaire in her computer!!!!! I hope she is happy now!

You are right, it is your responsibility to ensure that your time sheet is correct and on time. Where I would be concerned is if she refused to pay for the period at all.

I generally suggest using web-based solutions. Search the web on a phrase like “free web timesheet software” or “free timesheets”.
You can find software, but you can also find timesheets to download and print out in high resolution. I put a couple in the sources.
