How do I learn the version of Linux that a server is running?
0Question : How do I learn the version of Linux that a server is running? There’s a RedHat Linux server, and I need to find out the version number of RedHat that runs on it. I can ssh to it, and do not want to use X-Win as it is so slow.
I know Windows has “ver” command that does just that; is there something like that in Linux? linux server

0Question : Which version of Sharepoint Server is installed on my machine? I’m running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. I installed the Windows Sharepoint Services as a role from the ‘Configure your server’ wizard. Where would I locate the version of WSS? I’m guessing it’s 2.0 but I’m not sure. sharepoint server
