It depends, most of the black and white laser printers now have the option for the color scan. But i think there might be few which don’t.

Question : How can I print a photo without any white boarders of empty paper left along the sides and bottom?
I have a lexmark X 5150 all in one printer and I’m trying to print a photo as my cover page for a book I made for a summer school assignment. I’m going to have it laminated and binded at Office Max if I can just get this cover right.
The printer prints the photo well but in the page setup I can never get the printer to print on the entire sheet of photo paper. Everytime I print the photo it has a white boarder of half an inch of empty space around the sides and the bottom. Do I need to get a special printer or is there a place like Office Max who can print out the photo for me if I take in a CD to them?
Please Help! Thank you!

I recently interviewed for a sales and design position. I have been asked to return for a second interview (even asked me to start familiarizing myself with their software) and I have never held a white collar job.
I have a BA and a management diploma.
They say that they have done 1.5 M in sales with only one salesman until now – I would be #2. They have been incorporated for 3 yrs (with 11 yrs of operations) What kind of contract should I see? They have offered me a ‘draw’ salary of 30,000 and my comission would be 3%.
Is this ‘draw’ fair? Should I be asking for benefits and a car allowance? Should I be asking for more comission? The leads are qaulified and financing is availiable to customers. Should I be asking for a minimum number of leads a week? Can someone help me understand where I stand and what are reasonable expectations? What do I need in writing?

CLC Transfers or Color Laser Copy Transfers are capable of creating photographic quality transfers for garment printing. CLC Transfers are the easiest and most cost effective way to produce full or multi color custom transfers in low quantities. (Mostly for white shirts)
Hotmark (also known as plastisol) is a film that is designed to be cut with computer controlled vinyl plotter and we use a heat press to apply the film to shirts & hats. This material has the advantage of being opaque, which means that when it’s applied to dark or black fabric even the light colors are nice and bright.
There’s all kind of tranfers out there with different brand names. Look for “plastisol transfers” the brand of paper doesn’t really matter. Plastisol is the vinyl that is put on the transfer paper. They are the best for what your trying to do. You can google it and find a bunch of companies that sell them.

Seeing the problem (i.e. a picture or in person) would help a lot.
Are the white streaks across the label or down the label?
Are you using a ribbon or thermal labels?
If the streaks are across the label (side to side), then you may have bad labels or ribbon (if ribbon is being used). Try a new set of labels or ribbon.
If the streaks are angled across the label, and you’re using a ribbon, then your ribbon is not running true (straight) across the printhead and is “creasing” (actual term used) as it prints. You need to adjust certain components to straighten the ribbon as it passes through the printhead area. A qualified and trained tech should be able to correct this fairly easily.
If the streaks are straight down the label as it comes out, you may have a dirty printhead (the printhead is usually the dark brown section section as you look at the bottom). There may be ribbon material or other hardened material stuck on the surface. You can carefully try to clean it using some alcohol and a q-tip or some other soft, but firm, piece of material, including your fingernails, but do not use anything harder than your fingernail (still being careful) to try to remove any contaminants from the printhead as it will damage the printhead beyond repair. Again, a qualified and trained tech should be able to correct this fairly easily.
If there isn’t any debris on the printhead, then most likely one or more of the printhead thermal elements inside are bad and the printhead will need to be replaced. They are not repairable, and usually cost around $ 300 or more. You may wish to have a qualified & trained tech replace it so as to avoid damaging the new printhead when installing, and it does require some setup when replacing.
